CIT: When Israel had become disillusioned with the Lord’s arrival, Malachi called them prepare for the Faithful Lord’s arrival.
BIG IDEA: While the world and others question the Lord’s return, God calls believers to prepare for His arrival.
Big Question: “How can believers prepare as we wait for the Lord’s arrival?”
I. Remember The Lord’s Faithful Promise (2:17- 3:7).
He sends the messenger — prepares the way of the Lord to enter the temple.
He sends the Lord — prepares people for service and judgment.
The Lord will purify (3:2-4).
The Lord will judge (3:5-7)
II. Be Sure You Are Being Sanctified (3:8-4:6).
God calls everyone to turn to Him (3:7-18)
Worship—(3:7-12)
Lifestyle—(3:13-18)
God will make a distinction between believers and others (4:1-6).
As you Prepare for the Lord’s arrival . . .
Remember The Lord’s Faithful Promise.
Be Sure You Are Being Sanctified.
